Accountex 2024

ExCeL London is officially buzzing! Yesterday marked the first day of Accountex 2024, and the energy is contagious. Neville, Alan and Vaidas are there navigating the largest accounting and finance expo in the world. There are 12 theatres of CPD-accredited seminars to choose from, plus exhibitor demos and stand theatres. 

The sheer volume of exhibitors is mind-boggling. Walking through the halls feels like stepping into a future of accounting solutions. From established giants to scrappy startups, there's something for everyone. The guys have spent the morning flitting between booths, getting demos of the latest accounting software and services. Cloud solutions seem to be a major theme, with a focus on mobility and collaboration. There were some intriguing applications of artificial intelligence for data analysis and bookkeeping tasks.

The education program is another highlight. Strarting out with a fascinating session on cybersecurity threats for accounting firms – definitely some food for thought! The afternoon offered a deep dive into New technologies, like AI, machine learning, and predictive analytics (predicted to bring ‘dramatic change’ to the accounting industry) which was a must-attend for any accountant. The speakers are top-notch, offering practical insights and actionable takeaways.

The breaks aren’t just about refuelling. They’re a chance to connect with fellow attendees. There's a great sense of community here, and everyone seems eager to share ideas and experiences.
